Personality Disorders: Diagnosis & Treatment for Therapeutic Progress
Presenter: David Mays, MD, PhD: University of Wisconsin Department of Psychiatry

Content to include: attachment patterns; a brief discussion on each of the ten personality disorders, followed by and in-depth look at Borderline, Antisocial, and Narcissistic; transference, boundary, and safety issues; treatment, management, medication, and goal-setting; a simple approach for distinguishing personality disorders, ways to move through challenges that impede therapeutic progress

About WAFCA-CE

For more than 25 years, WAFCA has provided quality, timely continuing education for professionals serving children and families in Wisconsin. Each year, we train more than 1,000 participants including social workers, therapists, counselors, case managers, residential care workers, parenting support aides and in-home support workers on topics ranging from family systems to addiction and trauma.

WAFCA-CE is a trusted resource for continuing education for our member agencies and other behavioral health professionals in counties and in private practice. The Wisconsin Association of Family & Children's Agencies (WAFCA) has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider^TM (ACEP No.6778). Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. WAFCA is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

For all WAFCA in-person training, certificates will be provided following the conclusion of the training, or when the individual exits the training, if leaving early. For all WAFCA-CE webinars, certificates will be issued within 30 days of the webinar. For non-members, all in-person events are $99.

Fees for WAFCA-CE webinars are based on the length of the event. Non-members will pay:

• $25 per 2 hours
• $50 per 4 hours
• $75 per 6 hours

Cancellations: A two-week cancellation notice is requested. Participants cancelling no later than one week prior to the event will receive a full refund.
