Category: WAFCA CE Training

Workshop Description:  Are you feeling more fatigued than ever, working longer hours in your helping profession?

Do you feel less patient, more overwhelmed, too tired to do things, sleep deprived, less healthy in your eating habits?  Come to this training and feel the validation and support of your experience!  You will assess your symptoms of compassion fatigue and develop a thorough treatment plan for improving your wellness and energy/stress management. Attend this energizing presentation and experience some simple yet powerful ways to improve your mental, physical and emotional energy.  Additionally, you will experience a wealth of somatic tools for regulating yourself and for teaching your clients.

At the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  1. Assess where you are expending your energy mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
  2. Develop a wellness plan for managing your symptoms and your energy more effectively.
  3. Define the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, window of tolerance, and the vagus nerve.
  4. Learn and practice concrete, somatic tools for regulation.
