Hombuilders Presentation and Discussion - Zoom Gathering 1:30-3:00 PM As part of the state's FFPSA Strategic Planning, the DCF Division of Safety and Permanence recently convened counties and providers to talk about the state's approach to the FFPSA prevention plan and in-home services. Homebuilders is one of the evidence-based practices that the state is considering for inclusion in the plan. In order to better explore the requirements, costs and benefits of adopting the Homebuilders model as a component of the FFPSA prevention plan, WAFCA is hosting an informational session for state, county and provider partners to hear further details about implementation timelines, investments, workforce and other relevant questions related to adopting this model in our state on a local, regional and/or statewide basis. Join us as we welcome Shelley Leavitt, Ph.D., Associate Director, Institute for Family Development (developers of the Homebuilders model) who will share information on the model and offer practical insights regarding timeframes for rollout, start up costs, fidelity requirements and any other basic questions Wisconsin partners may have about this well-supported practice designed to provide intensive service for families with children from 0-18 that are at imminent risk of out of home placement. Who should attend: All Wisconsin partners in serving families are welcome to attend this briefing and Q & A session. We look forward to welcoming state, county and in-home services providers with an interest in exploring effective interventions that Wisconsin could adopt as a component of our state's FFPSA prevention plan.
