The pandemic has required that we all shif
t quickly to telehealth to support the mental health of our students and fa
milies. In the shuffle, attention to best practice and engagement hasn’t be
en easy! This training will cover not only the legal requirements for teleh
ealth and how to maintain confidentiality, but also how to set up a space f
or telehealth, how to improve engagement with clients of all ages using tec
hnology, and tips on how to approach some of the more sensitive topics faci
ng our students (like abuse and suicidality). By the end of this training,
you will feel confident in your ability to use telehealth and have tools to
engage with students and families effectively.

Understand HIPAA requirements, Informed Consent, and docu mentation/paperwork for telehealth

Training: April 12 and 13, 2021 (two hours each day—12:00-2:00pm
) *Eligible for 4 CE Credits for attendance both days (NBCC
Certified). Partial credits apply for those who do not attend in full.

About the Presenter:
Lisa Anderson, LPC, CSW has been in the Huma n Services field for over twenty-five years with an eclectic professional w ork experience within different systems. She has in worked in public, non-p rofit, medical and private practice sectors. Lisa weaves her knowledge of s ystems into her presentations to break down silos and develop team building between systems.
Lisa started her career in the Medical field, first as a Discharge Planner and then as a social worker in a federally funded clinic. Lisa then moved into the position of Director fo r the Sexual Assault Recovery Program in Rock County and developed and ran the CASA Program in Rock County at Family Services-SWANI. During this time Lisa was a Treatment Level Foster Parent for 10 years but this ended when L isa switched paths again and started at Wood County as a Specialized Foster Parent Social Worker and then became the Supervisor for the Wood County Ch ildren’s Specialized Unit which included, Comprehensive Community Services Program and Long-Term Care. Lisa transitioned to the Fox Valley, where she was hired as the Outagamie County Crisis Supervisor for the Mental Health D ivision for 9 years. She also provided outpatient services at Psychology As sociates of the Fox Cities.
Currently, Lisa is th e owner of L.K. Anderson Consulting, LLC and A Healing Place, Complete Coun seling Care. Lisa provides technical consultation to agencies, such as clin ical supervision, team building and Trauma Informed Care. Additionally, Li sa has presented to a variety of audiences on topics, such as, Trauma Infor med Care, Trauma Informed Parenting, Self-Care for Foster Parents, Self-Car e for Professionals, Ethics and Boundaries; Hoarding, Suicide Prevention, Crisis Planning, Building Resiliency; Secondary Trauma/Stress, Using Telehe alth in Private Practice and Team/Relationship Building. In her private pra ctice, Lisa provides specialize trauma therapy to children, teens and adult s. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Social Worker. Sh e received her Master of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees at UW-Whitewa ter.
This training qualifies for 4 hours of continuing education. WAFCA has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Contin uing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6778. Programs that do not qualify for NB CC credit are clearly identified. WAFCA is solely responsible for all aspec ts of the programs.
