Connect and collaborate with human services organizations across Wisconsin

WAFCA membership provides human service organizations with a network of colleagues who are eager to connect and collaborate. Our Communities of Practice (COP) connect to share best practices, network, and work together to develop solutions to financial and regulatory challenges. 

Our members meet quarterly via Zoom and communicate year-round via e-lists. In addition, members have complete access to our resources and can receive support for technical questions, compliance concerns, or policy details at any time.

Networking with like-minded colleagues enhances our work, improves services to our clients, and re-energizes our team members. Explore the COPs below to find the best fit:

Human Resources Community of Practice

Child Placing Agency and Group Care

WAFCA hosts a listserv for Child Placing Agencies and a Group Care listserv for RCCs and Group Homes. These lists are used to share notifications about emerging issues like the current rulemaking processed underway for DCF 56 and DCF 57. In addition WAFCA hosts periodic gatherings of these targeted areas of child welfare service. E-lists can also be used as a tool for Q&A with colleagues.

WAFCA E-list Sign Up

All WAFCA member agency employees receive a WAFCA profile. Use your profile portal to sign up for any/all of our e-lists. Once enrolled in an e-list, you can see a directory of others who connect with the list to help you reach out 1:1 and also share messages through the WAFCA portal or directly through your own email box! The steps are easy (and if you need assistance, please reach out to [email protected])  

  1. Log into your profile (wafca.org) and click on "My WAFCA Profile" below your name badge. (If you need assistance logging in or need new staff set up with an account, please contact [email protected])
  2. Hover over the "My Features" tab and select "E-Lists".
  3. Make sure the CPA and/or Group Care E-list says "On" under both "Subcribed" and "Email Delivery". (Once completed, you should receive a welcome email. If you don't, you may want to check your junk/spam folders.)
  4. To start participating, click "Post a New Message".
