About the Series: The Rural School Mental Health Training Package is a four-part virtual training series designed to provide behavioral health professionals working in rural schools with practical information, tools, and strategies to strengthen student mental health services. Developed with input from an advisory team and subject matter experts from around the state, the series will focus on best practices that are responsive to the unique opportunities and challenges of rural school communities.

Each four-hour training will feature a variety of speakers and include facilitated opportunities for discussion, consultation, and shared learning, allowing participants to connect the content to their own experiences and explore practical approaches they can use in their schools and communities.

The series is designed primarily for school-based mental health providers, although student services staff, school administrators, educators, and other school partners are welcome to participate. Participants are encouraged to register for all four sessions to experience the full training package. Registration will be completed separately for each event. The four events are as follows:

  1. Co-Facilitating Student Support Groups (January 25 — register separately)
  2. Building Strong Collaborative Practices (February 22)
  3. Consultation Approaches for Supporting Student Mental Health (April 12 — register separately)
  4. Funding and Sustainability (May 10 — register separately)
